$10,000 Per Child Toward Private School
In 2025, the State of Texas passed House Bill 2, launching the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) — a groundbreaking program that gives families the power to choose how and where their children learn.
Here’s what it means for you:
- Funding: Receive up to $10,000 per child, per year to use toward private school tuition — including Acton Academy Bee Cave.
- Administration: Managed by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, with Odyssey running the official platform for applications and payments.
- Eligibility: Priority goes to students with disabilities and low-income families, but all Texas families may apply once full criteria are set.
- Usage: Funds may be used for private school tuition, homeschool resources, tutoring, and career or technical education programs.
- Timeline: Applications open February 2026 for the Fall 2026 school year.
