Spark Studio (Ages 4-6) – Igniting the Flame of Curiosity
In the Spark Studio, we focus on nurturing the unique, curious, and independent spirit within every child. Each morning, children thrive in an authentic Montessori environment where their cognitive, physical, emotional, and social needs are met through whole-child development.
Afternoons are filled with discovery and exploration as they engage in Spark Play—building, creating, and exploring the great outdoors. Here, they also lay the groundwork for essential skills in reading, writing, goal-setting, and independent learning, all of which prepare them to soar into the next phase of their educational journey.
Explore Studio (Ages 6-8) – Strengthening the Love of Learning
The Explore Studio, our "Lower Elementary" program, is where young learners build upon the foundations laid in Spark. This studio blends the best aspects of both the Spark and Discovery Studios, creating a space where children strengthen their love for learning, enhance their intentionality, and grow their autonomy.
Here, they gain confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking while honing their ability to set and achieve goals independently. Self-governance becomes a core part of their experience, setting the stage for their next big adventure in the Travel Studio.
Travel Studio (Ages 8-11) – Cultivating a Passion for Discovery
In the Travel Studio, or "Upper Elementary," your child will dive deeper into their love for learning and build meaningful relationships with others. This studio is designed to foster discovery through personalized Core Skills and hands-on Quest projects.
Core Skills—reading, writing, math, and computer science—are mastered at your child’s own pace using adaptive technology. Each afternoon, learners explore the arts, sciences, history, and the natural world through engaging projects. Simulations challenge them to think critically, work as a team, and unleash their creativity. And with plenty of free play, they develop problem-solving and collaboration skills that will serve them throughout life.
Adventure Studio (Ages 11-14) – Embarking on the Journey to Wisdom
Middle school at Acton Academy Bee Cave is not just a continuation of learning; it’s an adventure. In the Adventure Studio, young learners begin to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios, where wisdom and judgment are cultivated.
Imagine your child stepping into the shoes of a world leader, like Harry Truman, faced with a moral dilemma of historic proportions. Through Socratic discussions, they’ll weigh the ethics, consider the consequences, and learn to make decisions that reflect their values. Here, they’ll not only learn to think but to think deeply.
Launchpad Studio (Ages 14-18) – Preparing for Real-World Success
The Launchpad Studio is where the rubber meets the road. Designed for high school students who are ready to take on the world, this studio is all about preparing for real-world success through hands-on experience, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurial ventures.
In Launchpad, your child will develop the habits and character traits that lead to a fulfilling life. They’ll earn Servant Leader Badges as they master crucial skills like conflict resolution, mentoring, productivity, and goal-setting. By the time they leave Launchpad, they’ll have a portfolio of real-world work, ready to launch their own businesses, projects, or academic pursuits.
